Cheng WeiJian

Born in 1955 in Bongfu, Anhui province, China, Cheng WeiJian began his love and practice of oil-painting at a very young age. He has maintained this passion and devotion to the present day. Cheng WeiJian's figurative portraits and still-life paintings, in which he combines Western style and techniques with classical Chinese subject matters, include him in a generation of artists who are known as the "new masters of Chinese realism." His art has been praised both domestically and internationally. Cheng WeiJian now works as a full time painter in his studio in AnHui.
